Two students namely Marit van Krieken and Jitske Rotte from the Minor International Health and Development Inistitute based in The Netherlands are currently in Ghana to conduct a research on ”how different organizations meet the needs of caregivers of children with disabilities. They will be in Ghana for three (3) months.
The results of this research will contribute to the further improvement of the quality of interventions offered by the three organizations in supporting caregivers of disabled children.
They will be working with two (2) SPAID member organisations namely: Padre Pio Rehabilitation Centre – Ahotokrom, Cape Coast and Sharecare Ghana – Osu, Accra to collect data on the above research topic.
The outcomes of the research will help SPAID to know the situation on the ground and how best we can support caregivers to better take care of children with disabilities.
